Pickled Beans Water Bath Canning Recipe
Ingredients
2 1⁄2 cups
white pickling vinegar 2 1⁄2 cups
water 1⁄4 cups
pickling salt 3 pounds
green beans (use yellow and or purple if you like ) 3 cloves
garlic 1 bunch
dill 4
hot peppers (optional )Instructions
This is a canning recipe, If you are new to canning please review our steps for safe steps for water bath canning first.
In a medium saucepan, bring vinegar salt and water to a boil to make brine. Stir until salt is dissolved. Keep warm
Sterilize & heat 3 quart sized canning jars (Easiest to do in your hot water bath canning pot while water is boiling)
Cold pack jars with garlic, a sprig of dill, chili pepper and beans
Ladle brine over beans. Fill to 1/4 inch head space
Process in water bath for 10 minutes.
Remove and let sit, listen for pop that indicates jar is sealed
